Houston Dash NWSL is reportedly in advanced negotiations to sell the club for $120 million to RHC Group, led by Richard Hsiao, the son of a Chinese billionaire. The sale is still pending as the NWSL seeks more information regarding the funding sources of RHC. Hsiao, an American citizen, has been involved in various sports investment opportunities and began the league’s standard review process months ago. The deal would separate the Dash from the Houston Dynamo, which is also owned by Ted Segal, who purchased both teams in 2021 for approximately $400 million. The Dash, valued at $74 million last September, represents a significant investment in one of the league's lower-revenue clubs. If approved, Hsiao would become the youngest control owner in major U.S. sports, a notable milestone in the ongoing growth of the NWSL. The league's Board of Governors will ultimately decide on the ownership change based on its governance standards.
