Faasse, a 22-year-old rookie, played for Pinnacle High School and won a national championship at North Carolina in 2024.

She led the Pioneers in scoring with 31 goals and 12 assists in her senior year. Faasse also led Division I women’s soccer in scoring with 20 goals in 27 games.

What's next for the NWSL in Arizona?

A developer is hoping to attract a new NWSL expansion franchise to Arizona, with nearly 20,000 people signing a fan initiative to support the team. The league expects to announce a second additional team for 2028 by the end of this year.

| Stat | Value | | --- | --- | | Average franchise worth | $184 million | | NWSL teams | 16 (expanding to 17 in 2028) | Faasse thinks a team in Arizona would be a great opportunity for young women to see they have a chance to play professionally. “I think it would broaden opportunities that girls and women so deserve,” Faasse said. The Houston Dash NWSL will continue to compete in the NWSL, with Faasse looking to make a name for herself in the league.
